BACKGROUND: the greatest forensic pathologist in new york.

WISH: While there are many things Izzy wishes she could take back, those with any selfish intent don't take as much precedence as the tragic slaughter of downworlders that occurred due to the activation of the Soul Sword. Given her ability and heart to befriend and stand for just about any species, re-instating the innocent lives lost in a war of hatred would be her optimum goal throughout her time at CC.

FIT: Isabelle is widely known for her compassion toward others, the extent of which for quite some time was ridiculed by her mother as not holding the proper objectivism to uphold the Lightwood name– a family of leaders well renowned for their duties to the Institute. She is the type to accept others and demand them a fair hand regardless of their background or place amongst the downworlders and fellow shadowhunters alike, and will stand up against her own people if any form of injustice is present. She is not a woman to stay quiet through any sort of hatred. As a pretty solid ally for equality and a wealth of kindness, it wouldn't be uncommon for her to go out of her way to help others in any sort of need within Cadelle, be it encouraging cocktails and vehement venting sessions, or coming to the physical protection of anyone in danger.

CONSENT: For a period of time Izzy suffered the addiction and withdrawal of a drug known as Yin Fen, which contains both healing properties as well as a poison that will begin to attack it's host with excessive use. After having a demon expelled from her body, the warlock drug was administered to her by the then-head of the Institute as a salve for her pain, and further enabled after that point despite his knowledge of it's addictive properties. While she largely holds herself accountable for the addiction, claiming it was 'her choice to take it', she's met with a lot of inner turmoil and haze as to who can truly be trusted, and who elsewise took advantage of her in moments of vulnerability. 

The type of person she is in general would never advocate for any kind of situation or relationship wherein there wasn't clear and assured consent, and her experiences only serve all the more testament to that. 

POWERS/ABILITIES: Shadowhunters are a race known as Nephilim– humans born with angel blood –who therein are granted powers of the Angel Raziel, which are combined physical and mental enhancements: strength, speed, agility, coordination, and stamina at their core. Her angel blood also enables her to apply runes to her body, all of which provide different beneficial effects to the wearer, however these cannot be activated without her Stele– which would be requested allowance into the city upon her arrival. 

As for any weaponry, Nephilims are able to summon seraph blades– weapons specifically wielded and responsive only to Shadowhunters –when needed. Izzy is also incredible skilled and trained in hand to hand combat, whether armed or unarmed, and has a knack for forensic pathology.
